Baseball Recap: Cherry Hill East Comes Up Short

Cherry Hill East lost against Cherokee last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cougars fell 5-2 to the Chiefs. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cherry Hill East got a good showing from Nathan Dekerlegand, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Cherry Hill East saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Thomas Vanella, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Cherry Hill East now has a losing record of 5-6-2. As for Cherokee, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 14-0.

Looking ahead, Cherry Hill East will face off against Triton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cherokee, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Seneca at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Chiefs are facing the Golden Eagles at the right time seeing as the Golden Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
