Sevier County's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Jefferson County Patriots. This was a revenge game for the Smoky Bears: when they faced off against the Patriots back in April, they had to take a 14-4 loss.

Madi Huskey and Riley Flasher did most of the damage at the plate: Huskey went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI, while Flasher went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Mae Burrell, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Sevier County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Sevier County's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-10 and their overall record up to 10-16. As for Jefferson County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 25-15.

Looking ahead, Sevier County will head out on the road to take on William Blount at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Governors will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Smoky Bears surely won't give up without a fight. Jefferson County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
