Basketball Recap: Ross Gets the Win

Ross won the last time they faced Whitmer and things went their way on Saturday too. The Ross Little Giants secured a 55-51 W over the Whitmer Panthers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Little Giants.

Despite the loss, Whitmer still got an impressive performance from Madison Finch, who went 8 of 19 on her way to 23 points along with six boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Adalyn Johnson, who posted six points.

Ross is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Whitmer, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-5.

When Ross and Whitmer next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Ross will try to stop Bowling Green's three-game winning streak when the meet at 4:15 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Meanwhile, Whitmer will try to stop Highland's nine-game winning streak when the meet at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
