River Valley barely beat Marion Harding the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Vikings blew past the Presidents 3-0 on Tuesday. Surprisingly, this marked the Vikings' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: River Valley took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-15, 25-9.
Myla Kenney paced River Valley's offense, picking up 13 kills. Kenney got some help from Hayley Wickersham and her 28 assists. Sidney Osborne controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.
River Valley now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Marion Harding, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
