Volleyball Recap: Lindanis Puentes' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Southwestern Heights over Stanton County

Southwestern Heights was the 2-0 winner over Stanton County when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs fell 2-0 to the Trojans on Saturday.

Southwestern Heights was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-23.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lindanis Puentes, who had 13 digs and one assist.

Southwestern Heights' loss dropped their record down to 16-15. As for Stanton County, their win bumped their record up to 17-14.

Southwestern Heights has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Cimarron on the 20th. As for Stanton County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Syracuse on the 11th.
