Football Recap: Estill County Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Estill County can now relate to. They were dealt a 41-8 loss at the hands of the Rockcastle County Rockets on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Engineers in their meetings with the Rockets: they've now lost three in a row.

Hunter Pingleton had a dynamite game For Rockcastle County., rushing for 131 yards and two touchdowns. Those two rushing touchdowns gave Pingleton a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Jackson, who picked up 110 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Estill County now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Rockcastle County, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1.

As of now, neither Estill County nor the Rockets have any future games scheduled.
