Brusly came tearing into Wednesday's contest with 12 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the University Lab Cubs. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Abigail Heidbrink looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Emma Grace Daigle was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Another player making a difference was Amelia Meador, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Brusly always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .741. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as University Lab only posted an OBP of .083.

Brusly pushed their record up to 17-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for University Lab, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.

Brusly didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-0 victory against Plaquemine on the 27th. As for University Lab, they will face off against Episcopal at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
