Metro Christian has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.92 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They came out on top against the Preston Pirates by a score of 13-10. The win was nothing new for the Patriots as they're now sitting on five straight.

Metro Christian pushed their record up to 29-10 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Preston, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-5.

Looking ahead, Metro Christian will welcome Chisholm at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Preston does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
