Miller hasn't had much luck against Bishop Rosecrans recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Falcons will be playing at home against the Bishops at 5:15 p.m. Miller knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Bishop Rosecrans likes a good challenge.
Miller is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 22-4 margin over Harvest Prep on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won six in a row.

Bodey Dorsey and Ryley Post made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Dorsey tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Post pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He is becoming a predictor of Miller's success: when he allows at most one hit the team is undefeated (and 6-7 when he doesn't). At bat, Dorsey got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Post went a perfect 5-for-5 with three stolen bases, six RBI, and four runs. Those three stolen bases gave Post a new career-high.
In other batting news, Miller got a massive performance out of Bryce Dorsey, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Dorsey has become a key player for the Falcons: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-7 otherwise. Colton Hawkins was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Miller hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Harvest Prep struck out eight times.
Meanwhile, Bishop Rosecrans unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Maysville by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bishops have suffered since April 27, 2024.
Bishop Rosecrans saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Coen Grandstaff, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Miller's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Bishop Rosecrans, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Miller has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Bishop Rosecrans struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Miller couldn't quite get it done against Bishop Rosecrans when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 8-5. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
