Basketball Recap: Pearce Victorious

Pearce won the last time they faced Fort Bend Elkins and things went their way on Saturday too. The Mustangs walked away with a 48-41 win over the Knights. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Fort Bend Elkins' loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Myles Allen, who posted 17 points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Arsam Dadras, who had ten points and eight rebounds.

Pearce's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Fort Bend Elkins, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pearce will venture away from home to face off against Coppell at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs will be up against the Cowboys' rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Fort Bend Elkins, they will face off against Katy at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.
