Basketball Recap: Bloomburg Takes a Loss

Bloomburg lost against Saltillo on January 7th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bloomburg Wildcats were outmatched by the Saltillo Lions and fell 83-16. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1510th, while the Lions are ranked 303rd).

Bloomburg is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12. As for Saltillo, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 26-6.

Bloomburg has already played their next game (against Avinger), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Saltillo will be playing in front of their home fans against Avery at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Saltillo's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
