Basketball Recap: Kalison Miller's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Weeping Water over Tri County

Weeping Water was the 40-38 winner over Tri County when they last played one another back in December of 2014, but their luck changed this time around. The Weeping Water Indians took a 49-33 bruising from the Tri County Trojans on Tuesday. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kalison Miller, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylea Mccaulley, who put up nine points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tri County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Macey Gronemeyer, who earned 11 points. Gronemeyer is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games she's played. Aubrey Siems was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and ten boards.

Weeping Water's defeat dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Tri County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Weeping Water does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tri County, they will head out on the road to face off against Diller-Odell at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Diller-Odell will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Tri County surely won't give up without a fight.
