Volleyball Game Preview: Liberty Lions vs. Corona del Sol Aztecs

The Liberty Lions will head out to take on the Corona del Sol Aztecs at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Liberty is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Liberty came up short against Williams Field on Wednesday, falling 3-0.

While Liberty was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-12, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Corona del Sol made easy work of Sunnyslope on Wednesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Corona del Sol, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-14.

Liberty couldn't quite get it done against Corona del Sol in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
