Pleasant Grove lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Sheldon, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's contest. The Eagles took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 64-0 win over the Huskies. The Eagles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Pleasant Grove's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Robert Wainaina led the charge by rushing for 89 yards and three touchdowns. Wainaina showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 51 yards. Another player making a difference was Ivan Saeyang, who rushed for 67 yards and a pair of TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Pleasant Grove was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 355 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 223 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Pleasant Grove's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Sheldon, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coincidentally, Pleasant Grove and Sheldon will both be playing Monterey Trail the next time they take the field. The Huskies will host the Mustangs at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on October 3.
