Basketball Recap: Grand Ledge Comes Up Short

Grand Ledge was the 54-53 winner over Everett when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Grand Ledge Comets took a 59-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Everett Vikings.

Grand Ledge's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Everett, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-14 record this season.

Grand Ledge will take on Waverly in a tournament on Wednesday. Waverly knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 contests -- so hopefully Grand Ledge likes a good challenge. As for Everett, they will be taking part in a tournament against Holt at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
