Soccer Game Preview: Badger vs. Racine Park

The Badger Badgers will venture away from home to square off against the Racine Park Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Badger's offense. They came up short against Union Grove on Tuesday, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Badger can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Union Grove are ranked 31st).

Meanwhile, Racine Park's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They beat Indian Trail by a goal, winning 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for Racine Park.

Racine Park's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Badger, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9-2 record this season.

Badger took their win against Racine Park in their previous matchup back in May of 2022 by a conclusive 6-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Badgers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
