Charlottesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 24th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Goochland Bulldogs, falling 17-4. On the bright side, the four- run effort marked the Black Knights' highest-scoring game to date.

Charlottesville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sunny McFadden, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Charlottesville's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Goochland, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Charlottesville will be playing in front of their home fans against Staunton at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Goochland, they will head out to challenge Albemarle at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
