Basketball Recap: Seneca Comes Up Short

Seneca was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 48-30 fall against the Ottawa Pirates. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Fighting Irish of the 43-26 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2024.

Seneca's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Ottawa, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seneca will head out to challenge Prairie Central at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ottawa, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against LaSalle-Peru at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
