Football Recap: Jones Skates Past Perry with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jones). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 61-3 victory over the Perry Maroons. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-0.

Acyn Hansen produced another solid effort throwing for 204 yards and three TDs while completing 76.5% of his passes, and also picking up 33 receiving yards and one score. What's more, he racked up 155.4 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Jonquay Johnson was in the mix as well, providing Jones with two touchdowns.

The win keeps Jones at an undefeated 4-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 49.0 points this season. As for Perry, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
