Basketball Recap: Doniphan Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Doniphan was the 38-36 winner over Bloomfield when they last played one another back in December of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Doniphan Dons fell 49-37 to the Bloomfield Wildcats on Saturday. The game marked the Dons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Doniphan's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-4. As for Bloomfield, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Doniphan will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Puxico at 7:30 p.m. on January 7th. Bloomfield has already played their next match, a 61-40 loss against Twin Rivers on the 30th.
