Softball Game Preview: Amity Warriors vs. Philomath Warriors

Amity will venture away from home to take on Philomath at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Amity is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game dating back to last season on Monday. They came up short against Douglas, falling 16-1.

Meanwhile, Philomath might've scored the first runs on Monday, but it was Willamina who claimed the real prize. Philomath fell just short of Willamina by a score of 5-4.

Kaylie Kohler made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Libby Kramer, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Amity couldn't quite finish off Philomath in their previous meeting back in March of 2018 and fell 6-4. Can Amity avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
