Soccer Recap: Douglas Takes a Loss

Douglas lost against South Umpqua back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Trojans came up short against the Lancers, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Douglas can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon soccer rankings (they are ranked 168th, while South Umpqua are ranked 32nd).

Douglas' defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for South Umpqua, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0-2.

Douglas didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-0 loss against Bandon/Pacific on the 16th. South Umpqua has also already played their next matchup (against Gold Beach), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
