            Volleyball Recap: Scott Skyhawks vs. Nitro Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            Scott was the  3-1 winner over Nitro when they last played one another  back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Skyhawks fell  2-0 to the Wildcats on Thursday. Skyhawks fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Wildcats since  Thursday.
 While Scott ultimately came up short, they really made  Nitro work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20,  29-27.
 Nitro found their leader in sophomore  Zoe Hyatt, who  had 20  digs and three  aces. Hyatt has been hot recently, having  posted 12 or more  digs the last three times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Miley Mullins, who  had eight  digs and six  kills.
Scott's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Nitro,  the  win  got them back to even at 7-7.
 Scott will get a bit of extra time to process the  defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sherman at 6:00  p.m.  on October 6. As for Nitro, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  2-0  victory against Clay County on the 25th.
