While Jackson's victory against North Miami wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Generals sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-52 win over the Pioneers on Thursday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Generals' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 323rd, while the Pioneers are ranked 687th).

Jackson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryan Costa, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Deshawn Andrews, who earned 13 points.

Several Pioneers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Calando Joseph, who scored 20 points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Fabio Fallat, who had 14 points and five rebounds.

Jackson now has a winning record of 3-2. As for North Miami, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.

Jackson has already played their next contest, a 78-57 defeat against Dade Christian on the 18th. As for North Miami, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 80-59 loss against Carol City on the 16th.
