Preview: South Cobb Eagles vs. North Atlanta Warriors
South Cobb is 3-0 against North Atlanta since December of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The South Cobb Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the North Atlanta Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully South Cobb focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up eight more assists than your opponent, a fact South Cobb proved. They snuck past Lakeside with a 50-45 victory.
Rajah Morgan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points along with nine rebounds. Devin Wicker was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Lakeside scored an imposing 58 points on Saturday, North Atlanta still came out on top. North Atlanta skirted past Lakeside 61-58. The victory was a breath of fresh air for North Atlanta as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
South Cobb's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9. As for North Atlanta, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.
South Cobb beat North Atlanta 57-49 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for South Cobb since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
