Baseball Recap: Franklin Find Success

Franklin took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Wilson Magnet/Early College International/School Without Walls, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out Wilson Magnet/Early College International/School Without Walls 9-8 on Wednesday. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 12-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Jariel Castoire was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. Jonael Maldonado was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Franklin's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Coming up, Franklin will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Edison Tech at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs are facing the Inventors at the right time seeing as the Inventors are stuck on a four-game losing streak. Wilson Magnet/Early College International/School Without Walls will be paying especially close attention to Franklin's match: after Franklin faces off against Edison Tech, they'll take on Wilson Magnet/Early College International/School Without Walls again on Tuesday.
