Football Recap: Romeoville Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Romeoville had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They pulled ahead with a 20-19 photo finish over the Stagg Chargers.

A big part of Romeoville's victory came down to the chemistry between Richard Conley and his top target Keilan Winfield. Conley threw for 198 yards and three touchdowns while Winfield picked up 137 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Winfield got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 80 yards.

Romeoville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 27-8 win against Tinley Park on the 5th. As for Stagg, they have also already played their next contest, a 42-0 loss against Oak Forest on the 5th.
