Softball Recap: Buffalo Takes a Loss

Buffalo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 27th straight loss dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Eden Prairie Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bison have suffered against the Eagles since April 26, 2023.

Buffalo's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Eden Prairie, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Buffalo and Eden Prairie could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. The Bison (ranked 255th) will meet Edina (ranked 16th) at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Eden Prairie will challenge Rogers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (110 vs. 6).
