Basketball Recap: Tegan Johnson Key Part of a Team Effort in Stallions Win

Stansbury lost to Jordan back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Stansbury Stallions secured a 53-49 W over the Jordan Beetdiggers. The score was all tied up 22-22 at the break, but the Stallions were the better team in the second half.

Stansbury's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tegan Johnson, who posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Porter Hinton, who went 5 of 10 en route to 13 points.

Jordan lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jackson Ostler, who went 5 for 6 on his way to 11 points. Blake Hansen was another key player, putting up nine points.

The victory made it two in a row for Stansbury and bumps their season record up to 4-12. As for Jordan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-11.

Stansbury wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 69-62 loss against Cottonwood on the 17th. As for Jordan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 89-76 win against Park City on the 17th.
