Basketball Game Preview: Shoemaker Wolves vs. Midway Panthers

The Shoemaker Wolves will venture away from home to challenge the Midway Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, Shoemaker strolled past Copperas Cove with points to spare, taking the game 74-60.

Meanwhile, Midway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took an 80-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of Killeen. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (57), the Panthers still had to take the loss.

Midway's defeat dropped their record down to 7-24. As for Shoemaker, their victory bumped their record up to 19-12.

Shoemaker strolled past Midway when the teams last played back in January by a score of 84-70. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
