Baseball Recap: Canyon Springs' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Canyon Springs's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Montclair Cavaliers. That looming 9-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cougars yet this season.

Canyon Springs got a great performance from Victor Argueta as he didn't allow a single hit and allowed only one earned run over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Andres Vasquez was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. David Valdez also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
