Sheridan has gone 8-2 against Tri-Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Blackhawks will be playing at home against the Trojans at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Sheridan managed to slip by Carroll the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Blackhawks lost 13-2 to the Cougars on Tuesday. Blackhawks fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Cougars since on Tuesday.

Sheridan got a good showing from Tanner Dawson, who tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Sheridan saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was John Ugalde, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double. That hit marked the first that Ugalde has got this season.

Meanwhile, Tri-Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Clinton Prairie, falling 11-1.

Tri-Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Sheridan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.
