Baseball Recap: Lutheran North Comes Up Short

After flying high against Metro on Saturday, Lutheran North came back down to earth. The Crusaders lost 11-1 to the Valley Park Hawks on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Crusaders of the 8-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2018.

Lutheran North saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was OSAR Tate, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Tate is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

Lutheran North has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-13 record this season. As for Valley Park, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-4.

As of now, neither Lutheran North nor the Hawks have any future games scheduled.
