The El Rancho Dons lost against the Bell Gardens Lancers back in December of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. El Rancho fell 61-51 to Bell Gardens. El Rancho has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
El Rancho lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Andrew Morones, who scored 14 points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. Troy Barajas was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
El Rancho's defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-9. As for Bell Gardens, their victory bumped their record up to 2-8.
El Rancho won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Nogales at 6:30 p.m. on December 15th. Bell Gardens won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Whittier at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th.
