Volleyball Recap: Mead Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mead can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Gonzaga Prep Bullpups on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bullpups this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in October.

Mead started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-16, 25-11, 25-19.

Leading Gonzaga Prep to victory were Camryn Holbert and Cienna Pierpoint. Holbert had 15 digs and four assists, while Pierpoint had 11 digs and six assists. That's the most assists Holbert has posted since back in September.

Mead's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Gonzaga Prep, they pushed their record up to 29-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Mead didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Ferris on the 11th. As for Gonzaga Prep, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Kamiakin on the 13th.
