Soccer Recap: Riverton Takes a Loss

Riverton came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Herriman Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Herriman this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in August.

Riverton's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Herriman, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Riverton will be playing in front of their home fans against Westlake at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverton are facing Westlake at the right time seeing as Westlake are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Herriman, they will head out to challenge Mountain Ridge at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Herriman's defense better be ready for this one: Mountain Ridge have averaged an impressive 2.6 goals per game this season.
