Softball Recap: Redwood Valley Takes a Loss

Redwood Valley fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Fairmont on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They came up short against Fairmont, falling 10-4.

Redwood Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grace Blare, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Redwood Valley has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Fairmont, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Redwood Valley will venture away from home to challenge Windom at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last five games the Eagles have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Fairmont, they will face off against Tri-City United [Montgomery-Lonsdale/Le Center] at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
