Senior wing led North Mecklenburg to Class 4A state championship.
Each year since 2006, MaxPreps has recognized outstanding performers in prep basketball. America's source for high school sports continues the tradition to close out the 2023-24 season by naming the top player in each state. Selections are based on team success and individual excellence in addition to local and state accolades.
For the season, Evans averaged 27.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.3 steals per contest while shooting 53 percent from the field, 43 percent from 3-point range and 84 percent from the free throw line.
