Baseball Game Preview: Truckee Wolverines vs. Boulder City Eagles

The Truckee Wolverines will square off against the Boulder City Eagles at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Truckee is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They never let The Meadows School get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory.

Meanwhile, Boulder City sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 win over Churchill County on Thursday.

Cael Starley was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Gauge Rhodes, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Boulder City's victory bumped their record up to 21-14. As for Truckee, their win bumped their record up to 21-11.

Truckee skirted past Boulder City 3-1 in their previous matchup back in May of 2019. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
