Softball Recap: Pine View's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

There's no place like home for Pine View, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. Everything went their way against the Jordan Beetdiggers on Friday as Pine View made off with a 16-1 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their one-run performance the match before.

The team relied heavily on Genevieve Evans, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one triple. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Nely Brinagh, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Pine View always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. They are 3-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Pine View moved to 4-8 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak. As for Jordan, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Coming up, Pine View will welcome Canyon View at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Jordan, they have already played their next contest, an 18-17 loss against American Leadership Academy on the 22nd.
