Volleyball Game Preview: Bunker Eagles vs. South Iron Panthers

Bunker is 1-8-1 against South Iron since October of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Eagles will welcome the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Bunker had taken Salem down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Monday. The Eagles fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2.

Bunker took Salem into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-18, 25-12, 23-25, 15-11.

Meanwhile, South Iron came up short against Ellington on Tuesday and fell 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-11, 17-25, 25-22.

South Iron's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Bunker, their loss dropped their record down to 9-16-2.
