Recap: Fayette Falcons vs. Centralia Panthers
The Fayette Falcons suffered their biggest defeat since December 5, 2023 on Wednesday. They were beaten by Centralia 68-32. Fayette has not had much luck with Centralia recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Fayette lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Payton Oeth, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Charles Alexander, who scored eight points.
Fayette's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Centralia, they pushed their record up to 7-6 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fayette will take on South Callaway at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Callaway has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 344 points over their last five games. As for Centralia, they will head out on the road to challenge Marceline at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
