Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Huntley Project's Ninth in Last 11 Outings

Huntley Project won the last time they faced Colstrip and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Huntley Project Red Devils blew past the Colstrip Colts 78-58. Given the Red Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 24th, while the Colts are ranked 99th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Huntley Project was led to victory by PARKER COOK and ISAAC KRIEGER. COOK posted 19 points, while KRIEGER had 18 points. The dominant performance gave KRIEGER a new career-high in points. ZADE BAN was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Huntley Project has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.0 points over those games. As for Colstrip, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-7.

Huntley Project wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 89-76 win against Lame Deer on the 13th. As for Colstrip, they will host Baker at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Colstrip is facing Baker at the right time seeing as Baker is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
