Football Recap: Robbinsville Takes a Loss

Robbinsville lost against Franklin back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Black Knights came up short against the Panthers, falling 28-7. The Black Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.

Anderson Terrell looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 154 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also punching in one TD on the ground. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (163.2).

Robbinsville's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Franklin, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Robbinsville is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Mountain Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Franklin, they will venture away from home to challenge Swain County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
