Softball Recap: Sherman Comes Up Short

Sherman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 13-10 to the Sachse Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bearcats of the 17-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2021.

Brennah Mask led a balanced group of hitters, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Azaria Dube was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Sherman's loss dropped their record down to 2-10-1. As for Sachse, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sherman will take on McKinney North at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Sherman will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for Sachse, they will face off against Lakeview Centennial at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
