Softball Recap: Fayetteville-Manlius Comes Up Short

Fayetteville-Manlius was the 17-11 winner over East Syracuse-Minoa when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hornets fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 8-7 on Monday. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fayetteville-Manlius saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anna Arthur, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Fayetteville-Manlius' loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for East Syracuse-Minoa, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fayetteville-Manlius will welcome Rome Free Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Syracuse-Minoa, they will face off against Oswego at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Spartans their first taste of in-conference action this season.
