6A District 8 recap October 1, 2013
George Rogers Clark made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,448 from 6,662. The advance stemmed from a 51-13 victory over the Cardinals last week.
Tates Creek led 6A District 8 in scoring this week after putting up 32 points on Tates Creek.
Lafayette's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Walker Wood threw for 74 yards and Mason Alstatt had 42 yards receiving. On the ground Kylan Nelson chipped in 106 yards.
The Generals' dynamic duo of Wood and Alstatt proved tough for Henry Clay to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Nelson provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Lafayette lost to the Blue Devils. Nelson's key target this week was Alstatt, who caught 2 passes for 42 yards.
Lafayette's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Generals feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Clay Bolin has thrown for 765 yards and 5 touchdowns this season, while Lucky Jackson has 21 catches for 376 yards.
