Volleyball Recap: Eastbrook Comes Up Short

Eastbrook was the 2-1 winner over Northridge when they last played one another back in August of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders on Saturday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their offense was headlined by DeLanie Elliott and Sloan Brown, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Alayna Rust and her six assists.

Leading Northridge to victory were Sami Kantz and Izzy Melvin. Kantz had four digs and three aces, while Melvin had 11 assists and three digs. Augist Wood also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Eastbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Northridge, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.

Eastbrook has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Madison-Grant on the 2nd. As for Northridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against West Noble on the 2nd.
