Recap: Cedar Hill Longhorns vs. Weiss Wolves

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Cedar Hill Longhorns had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past Weiss 62-0 on the road. Considering Cedar Hill has won five matchups by more than 30 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cedar Hill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anthony Edwards, who rushed for 45 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 127 yards and two touchdowns on only ten passes. Dayshun Reese was another key contributor, rushing for 150 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.4 yards per carry.

Another reason for the win was Cedar Hill's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Jabari Sims and Demetrius Williams jr who racked up four sacks between them.

The win was the third in a row for Cedar Hill, bringing their record for this year to 6-5. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 42.67 points. As for Weiss, their loss dropped their record down to 9-2.

Cedar Hill will face off against North Forney at TBD on Friday. Weiss does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
