Basketball Game Preview: Craig Panthers vs. Petersburg Vikings

The Craig Panthers and the Petersburg Vikings will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Craig will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Friday, Craig took their matchup with ease, bagging a 59-32 win over Petersburg.

Craig found their leader in sophomore Sara Steffen, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. Steffen is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down 13 or more in the last seven games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Faith Horner, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 12 points in addition to five boards and five steals.

Craig smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in six consecutive games dating back to last season.

Craig's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Petersburg, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
